About me

Welcome to my site. I am a Dutch political scientist, passionate about a green and socially just future.

I am a senior researcher at the Global Center on Adaptation and the German Development Institute (‘Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik’) and adjunct assistant professor at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Utrecht University. My main research topic concerns the engagement of all parts of society to prevent dangerous climate change and to adapt to impacts of climate change. The fight for a climate safe future is not a matter of governments alone, but will require contributions from all.

Other broad topics I am interested are sustainable development, environmental policy, political theory, and international relations.
