About me

Welcome to my site. I am a Dutch political scientist, working and living in Germany. Both professionally and personally I am passionate about a green and socially just future.

I am a researcher at the German Development Institute (‘Deutsches Institut für Entwicklungspolitik’) and adjunct assistant professor at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development at Utrecht University. My main research topic concerns the engagement of all parts of society to prevent dangerous climate change and to adapt to impacts of climate change. The fight for a climate safe future is not a matter of governments alone, but will require contributions from all.

Other broad topics I am insterested are sustainable development, environmental policy, political theory, and international relations.
